ORCID outage on 5 May 2015 from 3:01PM AEST to 7:00PM AEST

The ORCID service provider "Rackspace" will be carrying out maintenance work for an hour between  3:01PM AEST and 7:00PM AEST. As a result the ORCID registry and API's will be unavailable during this time. 

An alert will also be posted by ORCID on the registry 24 hours before the planned downtime and it will be tweeted from @ORCID_Org at the same time and again when the downtime actually begins. The ORCID support team will be monitoring and responding to questions from users both via support@orcid.org and on Twitter during this time.
