A new Federation Metadata

On Monday 15 July 2019, the AAF will be turning off the old AAF Metadata source. This will be for both the Test and Production AAF Federation environments and will only impact Service Providers.

If you haven’t already migrated, please do so by Monday 15 July 2019.

The new, more secure metadata source has been available and is ready for migration for all Federation SPs in both the Test and Production environments.

The AAF has provided the following simple guide with migration steps that you need to follow. These guides provide information that will ensure your SP continues to function after old federation metadata is turned off.

 Who needs to migrate?

Only SAML based SPs that are currently consuming the old AAF federation metadata from https://ds.[test.]aaf.edu.au/distribution need to migrate.

  • No Rapid Connect Service will impacted by this change – no change is required.
  • No AAF Central Service  will impacted by this change – no change is required.
