To ensure you are running the latest version of the Shibboleth IdP and related software the AAF has recently released a new version of the IdP installer (Tag: 1.3.6+idp-3.4.4).
This version provides a range of additional features and bug fixes, including the latest version of Shibboleth IdP 3.4.4 and version 9.4.18 of Jetty. It will also allow you to simply disable port 8443 on your IdP, see the forum Removal of port 8443 for IdPs for details.
To upgrade an existing IdP created using the IdP Installer all you need to do is run the update_idp.sh script using the -u option. Ensure you do this on your Test IdP to ensure there are no issue before attempting on your production IdP.
Rapid Identity Provider
If you want to move your IdP to the cloud and have the AAF maintain and upgrade it on your behalf you might want to consider the Rapid Identity Provider.
