Explanation of an AAF or Shibboleth Login. Which is primarily designed for Institutions and Organisations to Authenticate credentials to third party services.

Prerequisites

Most students, staff and alumni will have access to an institutional login as well as third party applications that your organisation subscribes too. For more information about which services are available to you, please contact your identity provider or institutional administrator.

Details

Australian Access Federation (AAF)  provides subscribers with a single sign on (login in)  that allows users to sign in using just one identity to various systems  across many different organisations within a trusted environment.

These are technical terms to describe your username and password depending on how it has been issued. The majority of the time, your username and password are the same as your home institution or organisation username and password.
