Introduction
If an individual, institution or organisation provides products and services to the educational sector or is active within the identity management sector, it may become a Subscriber of the Australian Access Federation. Some Subscribers are eligible to become Members of the AAF. Membership is optional and grants the right to participate in meetings of AAF Inc. and have input into how the Federation operates. Member organisations also agree to abide by the Australian Access Federation Incorporated Constitution.
Subscription plan eligibility for Membership of the AAF:
- AAF Enterprise subscriber
- AAF Team subscriber
To upgrade from Subscriber to Member, complete the AAF Membership Application form.

How to subscribe
Subscribing to the AAF is a simple process:
Determine subscriber eligibility.
Select a subscription plan.
Trial the service in the Federation Test environment.
Complete the AAF Subscription Form and send to [email protected].
Ensure compliance with the Federation Rules.
Pay the annual subscription fee.
Migrate the service to the Federation Production environment.

There are several plans for organisations to choose from, each target different organisation types with variations in features and fees. The Subscription Plan page outlines further information. As an introduction to federation technologies, the AAF offers a Trial Federation for testing and experimenting without a subscription.
