eduGAIN is an international service connecting research communities and higher education identity federations around the world. Australian Access Federation subscribers can now access services from more than 40 similar federations including the United States and most European countries.

eduGAIN enables global sharing of research tools and secure collaboration between researchers, educators and students around the world.

Any IdP or SP can request to join eduGAIN via their national federation and only current AAF subscribers can join eduGAIN via the AAF.
